  • POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Manager, Data & Business Intelligence, White River Marine Group, will not only support supply chain initiatives but also extend to sales, finance, operations, customer service, and other critical business areas. This role will be responsible for the strategic development of our data platform within Snowflake, the transition of BI tools from DOMO to Power BI, and the integration of machine learning and AI to optimize business processes and decision-making across all departments.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Leads the development and management of a comprehensive, enterprise-wide data platform in Snowflake, ensuring alignment with business goals across all departments.

    • Oversees the strategic migration of BI tools from DOMO to Power BI, embedding machine learning and AI capabilities to enhance data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

    • Crafts and champions an AI strategy that improves business processes, increases efficiency, enhances customer experiences, and drives growth across all business functions.

    • Collaborates with leaders from supply chain, sales, finance, operations, and other departments to identify and prioritize data analytics needs, ensuring a unified and integrated approach to BI.

    • Guides the development of predictive analytics and machine learning models that provide enterprise-wide insights for proactive decision-making.

    • Builds and mentors a multifaceted team of data engineers, BI analysts, data scientists, and developers, cultivating an environment that encourages innovation and excellence.

    • Establishes and maintains data governance and compliance standards, particularly concerning ethical AI usage and data privacy across the full spectrum of business operations.

    • Stays current with emerging trends and technologies in AI, machine learning, and data analytics, assessing their potential impact and application within all facets of the business.

    • Promotes a culture of data literacy and analytics-driven strategy, facilitating training and adoption of AI and machine learning tools across the company.

    • Manages the project lifecycle for BI, AI, and machine learning initiatives, ensuring projects align with and support the overarching business strategy.

    • Maintains strong relationships with technology vendors, particularly with Snowflake and Microsoft, to maximize value from the company's investment in BI and AI technologies.

    • Represents White River Marine Group as a thought leader in BI and AI, sharing insights at industry events and contributing to strategic discussions on data innovation.

    • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

    EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree

    • Preferred Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. (if applicable)

    • Years of experience: At least 10 years of experience in business intelligence, data integration, and AI/machine learning, with substantial experience in leadership and cross-functional strategic initiatives.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

    • Demonstrated expertise in Snowflake, Power BI, and the integration of AI and machine learning, with a strong portfolio of successful enterprise-wide BI system implementations.

    • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other data science languages, with deep knowledge of data modeling, ETL, and data pipeline automation.

    • Proven project management skills, with experience leading significant BI and AI projects that deliver business transformation and measurable ROI.

    • Exceptional analytical abilities and experience in creating AI models that drive efficiency and innovation across various business units.

    • Leadership skills that inspire team growth and development, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven culture.

    • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with all levels of the organization and presenting complex data concepts in a clear, concise manner.

    • Up-to-date knowledge of cloud data services (Snowflake, Azure, Google Cloud) and current best practices in BI, AI, and analytics.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Limited travel.

    INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
