Business Intelligence Director directs a business intelligence group centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. Principal Business Intelligence and Data Analyst

  • This role is responsible for the development of analytic solutions that support Industrial Operations and Product Supply (IOPS). The analyst will work with the business to deliver analytic solutions that change the way work is currently performed and be able to effectively communicate compelling data stories to leaders across the business. This includes driving business engagement; soliciting requirements; identifying all possible data points to analyze and drive insights; gathering, analyzing, verifying, presenting, and visualizing data and metrics; support verification and user acceptance testing; and train users on new solutions to drive adoption. This role will participate in related initiatives as needed.

    As a Principal Business Intelligence and Data Analyst, a typical day might include the following:

    • Work closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, IT, and other business partners to drive the development and delivery of reporting and analytics.
    • Responsible for identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.
    • A collaborative mindset, sense of curiosity and passion for solving interesting, challenging, and meaningful problems.
    • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills with the ability to understand, communicate, and present technical and complicated analyses/solutions in a clear and simple manner to stakeholders.­­
    • Able to independently manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
    • Leverage data, descriptive and predictive analytics, and data visualizations to monitor and improve business processes through actionable insights that drive operational excellence.
    • Ability to identify tangible and actionable results from large amounts of disparate information.
    • Experience collaborating with business partners to design and deliver visual analytical solutions including requirements gathering, design, development, solution delivery, and end-user training.
    • Ability to build influential relationships in a matrixed environment to drive engagement and foster understanding of complex information.
    • Experience working across multiple, complex and large disparate datasets.
    • Act as technical expert in analytic tools and best practices; assists in training, mentoring and upskilling others on the team.
    • Drive company standards around analytic tools, analytic policies, and data governance across the organization.

    This role may be for you if:​

    • MS preferred. Other degrees will be considered with on the job analytics experience.
    • Experience presenting complex results to non-data analysts and business stakeholders.
    • Experience in data extraction, data manipulation, analysis and reporting required.
    • Demonstrated experience with SQL required.
    • Experience with data visualization software required (i.e. Tableau).
    • Strong familiarity with advanced analytic techniques such as forecasting, statistical modeling, ML/AI, and NLP. Experience with forecasting is a plus.
    • Experience using various programming languages to analyze data & automate processes.
    • Experience in a GxP regulated environment and performing computer system assurance is preferred.
    • High attention to detail.
    • Requires excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Experience presenting to all levels of management.
    • Ability to operate independently within a tight deadline environment.
    • Is a high energy self-starter with a resilient, can-do attitude.
    • Drives positive change in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
    • Experience independently eliciting business needs and requirements from stakeholders.

    In order to be considered for this position, you must hold bachelors in Information Technology, Math or related field along with 8 years of relative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
