Business Intelligence Manager manages a business intelligence team centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. Plans projects to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business issues or questions. Being a Business Intelligence Manager lends significant subject-matter expertise to enhance projects with insightful takeaways and perspective. Collaborates with project stakeholders to design and plan initiatives, and ensures that business intelligence analysts have the tools, training, and understanding of the field to produce effective dashboards, reports, and metrics. Functions Supervised: None
Primary Functions: Design, build and support analytics that fulfill business requirements. Provide industry and market context in the interpretation of analytical results. Formulate recommendations that will be used to advise and drive decision making by executive management and other teams within the organization. Create and maintain reports and dashboards to deliver business intelligence to the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Minimum of three years progressive experience in a comparable position.
Experience/Skills: Strong oral, written, administrative, organizational and inter-personal skills. The ability to analyze problems, develop alternatives and recommendations. Proficiency in converting analytical requirements into actionable interpretations and recommendations. Proficiency in self-service analytics tools such as Excel, Tableau, SQL, SnowSQL, Python and/or R, etc. Familiarity with business intelligence, visualizations, and master data management is desired.Tenure: Assignment to the Business Intelligence Analyst I category 10, Business Intelligence Analyst II category 09, Business Intelligence Analyst III category 08, or Senior Business Intelligence Analyst category 07 will be determined by the candidate's education or experience. Advancement requires management recommendation and will be based on the candidate's certifications and/or performance.
Salary Pay Range:
Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.
In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
