Business Intelligence Manager manages a business intelligence team centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. Plans projects to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business issues or questions.   • The Operations Manager will serve as a current and future leader of the firm, demonstrate the attributes of collaborative teamwork, and assist with the execution of organizational operations strategy and initiatives. In general, the Operations Manager will assist in overseeing the revenue producing operations of the firm, ensuring efficiencies are achieved via appropriate engagement team coordination and execution.

     

    Core responsibilities:

    • Manage monthly operations close process, including reconciliations between expected key performance indicators to actual, ensuring reliable and accurate financial data is provided to Firm Leadership on a timely basis.
    • Oversee and assist with data collection, analyzing results and preparation of regular operational reporting to leadership of the firm.
    • Ensure accuracy of scheduled production forecasts, minimizing downtime of the client-facing professional team and evaluating reasonableness of time scheduled/planned on client engagements versus project time incurred.
    • Monitor operational trends and make information available to support operational decisions.
    • Assist with preparation of the current and future Operational Plans, including appropriate benchmarking and investigation of variances between Plan results and actual.
    • Oversee Operations Coordinator, or equivalent position, ensuring accuracy of information prepared and appropriate execution of tasks.
    • Assist leadership with establishing and executing goals for the operations department.
    • Recommend plans for continuous improvement for all client-facing engagement team operations to ensure all services provided to clients is optimized.
    • Assist with the development and maintenance of company business plans that include strategic priorities and headcount planning.
    • Identify potential risk & inefficiencies in operations and work with leadership to mitigate these risks and inefficiencies.
    • Review core teams and collaborate with talent acquisition to ensure appropriate team mix to achieve Firm margin and development objectives while minimizing downtime and maximizing utilization.
    • Work closely with leadership & IT team to gain operational efficiencies where possible related to office equipment to ensure minimized downtime for team members, and also ensure non-IT data security measures are appropriate, including appropriate usage and emptying of shred bins.
    • Ensuring the operational organization of the firm offices are efficient and effective to minimize downtime incurred by team members, which includes facilitating access for team members as well as external visitors when necessary and collaboration with administrative team members to ensure appropriate office functions.
    • Educate and train all staff and management team members in operational responsibilities.
    • Collaborate with HR and CQO, as necessary, to support the development process and enhance operational trends for an individual team or team member.
    • Being a subject matter expert on the operations platforms used to enhance the Firm’s strategy.
    • Manage operational policies & procedures.
    • Additional responsibilities as needed.

     

    Required Skills/Abilities: 

    • Strong working knowledge of the operations of a professional services firm. 
    • Above average organizational skills.
    • Strong leadership and management skills.

      • Ability to work towards enhancing technical and project management skills through on the job feedback and performance evaluations.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel skills. 

    Education and Experience: 

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Experience leading a team preferred.
      • 3  years of relative experience; at least 1 in professional services preferred. 

    Physical Requirements: 

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift items up to 30 pounds at times.
    • Must be able to travel up to 25%.
