  • Position Summary

    The role of the Business Application Specialist I reports to the Manager of Financial Applications. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and testing of Business Applications and solutions to ensure capacity.


    Essential Position Responsibilities

    • Application Management and Support:
      • Manage and maintain enterprise business applications, collaborating with business units to understand their processes and needs, translating them into application requirements.
      • Design workflows and screen schemes for complex projects, and support users in evaluating, testing, and configuring plug-ins.
    • Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
      • Provide technical support to users through various channels (telephone, email, trouble tickets, chat) for issues related to hardware, software, and network.
      • Diagnose and resolve issues in a timely manner, collaborating with IT team members to escalate complex problems.
    • Quality Assurance and Testing:
      • Participate in regression analysis, integration, and acceptance testing to ensure application reliability and quality.
      • Oversee the development and execution of coordinated testing plans for applications, including regression, unit, system, and integrated testing.
    • Project Management and Collaboration:
      • Partner with business stakeholders, internal teams, and vendors to implement new technology and system features, troubleshoot defects, and resolve issues.
      • Meet with staff and administrative teams to address issues and improve quality and efficiency of patient care.
      • Engage with vendor support sites and staff to maintain business relationships and support job functions.
    • Compliance and Security:
      • Ensure that programs and services meet standards for accreditation (e.g., Joint Commission, Quality, Promoting Interoperability) and safeguard protected health information.
    • Operational Support:
      • Maintain communication through various tools, monitor help desk software for tickets, and assist with customer calls.
      • Participate in meetings, prepare project lists and timelines, and perform proactive system monitoring for performance, response, and patches.
    • Business Tools:
      • Utilize and support a range of business tools including Paycom, JIRA, Confluence, Allscripts AFM, and Allscripts ASCS to drive the best care possible for healthier communities and ensure HR success.


    Qualifications

    • Education: High school diploma or GED, required.
    • Licensure and Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: Two years of financial applications support, required.


    Work Environment: This position will spend 90% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment and 10% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs.
