POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Intelligence Database Specialist is responsible for a variety of tasks related to information management, Business Intelligence (BI) software and systems, databases, and data warehouses. Includes design and implementation of data models, interfaces, ETL, reporting, and dashboards. Must be proficient in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, SSRS, SSIS, and creating complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures. Must have a thorough understanding of Azure, Azure Dev Ops, and Microsoft SQL Server databases and data warehouse design concepts. Essential components of this position are working under minimal supervision while gaining a thorough understanding of legacy systems data and interfaces.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Collaborates and partners with the Business to gather requirements, design and implement BI solutions and automation.

* Leads integration of enterprise systems and data with BI platforms and the data warehouse.

* Analyzes data and troubleshoots issues in support of projects and automation for legacy and new systems.

* Designs and produces ETL programs for the data warehouse and BI reporting systems.

* Creates, enhances, and maintains SSRS reports in support of business initiatives as assigned.

* Analyzes complex data relationships, troubleshoots/resolves issues, and determines solutions that produce the desired outcome/information.

* Works independently with little or no supervision and direction.

* Manages critical situations, which may involve complex technical, hardware, or software problems.

* Produces technical documentation of projects/tasks including specifications and design documents.

* Follows all prescribed standards as defined by Information Technology Team (I.T.T.).

* Maintains a high service-oriented attitude and takes ownership of issues/assigned projects.

* Communicates effectively and professionally, in both oral and written communications, with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel.

* Performs any other tasks required by I.T. T. Management for the successful operation of all I.T.T. services provided to our clients.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

* Minimum of five (5) years developing Power BI dashboards, SQL queries, stored procedures, SSRS reports, and SSIS jobs.

* Experience with cloud platform technologies Microsoft Azure, Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Data Warehouse is preferred.

* Knowledge of Title business is helpful but not required.

* Knowledge of title company business, technology and SoftPro Select a plus

SKILLS:

* Adept at conducting research and discovery into project-related issues and products.

* Superior analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

* Experience creating pipelines, data flows, and complex data transformations and manipulations using Azure Data Factory (ADF).

* Programming experience using Azure Dev Ops, T-SQL, SSRS, and SSIS in a Microsoft SQL Server environment.

* Knowledge of BI visuals, DAX language, and Power Query.

* Utilizing data storage solutions including Azure BLOB storage, ADLS Gen 2.

* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

* Excellent written and oral communication, listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

* Must possess organizational, time management, and motivational skills.

* Can perform well with shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.

* Team Player with a strong work ethic.

* Must maintain a professional appearance.

* Position requires long periods of work at a desk, utilizing a keyboard and monitor.

* Some travel may be required at times.

Working Conditions:

* Available to work evenings and/or weekends (as required).

* This is a remote position. Must be able to work in a home office conducive to remote work.

* Workdays and hours are Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
