JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will design and develop customer driven applications using Ciena's Blue Planet development platform. You will write applications utilizing open-source software for Python, REST APIs and any other customer driven requirement.

We want developers that enjoy developing modular software designed to scale and built to last. We are looking for people who have 'agile' in their DNA and get excited about having newly developed features getting released to a live production site in a matter of days (even hours). You will handle a wide array of tasks ranging from prototyping new techniques and technologies, to developing test automation, and supporting our growing customer base. You are expected to write quality code with high availability for large-scale applications in carrier class networking and cloud based environments.
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:- Lead teams of 3-8 engineers to design and develop customer-driven applications to provide network automation at-scale.
- Interface with customers from a technical perspective for the entire lifecycle of a project.
- Act as a technical leader and mentor to the company's technical community.
- Help to drive the technical direction of Blue Planet Software Solutions with innovative and robust software design.
You will work collaboratively with Product Owners, QA, Blue Planet Product Line Management (PLM), account and sales teams, Blue Planet support teams, and other organizations to foster the development of quality software and best practices.
