Business Office Director - Healthcare directs the day to day activities of a hospital's business office. Responsible for admitting and registration, patient billing and collection, third-party payer relations, and preparation of insurance claims. Ensures that patient financial matters are handled in an efficient manner. Additionally, Business Office Director - Healthcare requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.   • The Business Office Manager is a key department head who works directly with residents, family members, the facility’s interdisciplinary team and other team members. The business office manager will provide superior customer service and patient satisfaction in a positive, team-oriented environment. The “winning” candidate must be an experienced, hard-working, and dedicated individual whose role will be to oversee all resident account services with an emphasis on Louisiana Medicaid and collections. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and able to effectively multi-task; should also be computer savvy, have a good personality and be able to work well with others!

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Maintains basic knowledge of computer software and internet applications.
    • Maintain resident and business office files.
    • Review and distribute mail.
    • Maintain Resident Trust fund, cash box, and process trust fund check requests.
    • Distributing resident funds
    • Monitors and records petty cash disbursements and reconcile to replenish.
    • Make sure all accounts are properly maintained according to policies and procedures
    • Respect and maintain confidentiality of the office, its records and restricted information.
    • Coordinate with IT department on all office equipment
    • Serve as the point person for office manager duties including: mailing, supplies, equipment, bills, errands, shopping
    • Manage recording and filing of up-to-date contractor's license and liability insurance
    • Other duties as assigned by Administrator
