Summary:
A Business Development Consultant (BDC) plays a key role in recruiting new customers and maintaining relationships with current customers. A BDC utilizes our online e-Leads program to assist customers in the search of a new vehicle through phone calls, email, and text. Work hand in hand with customers and Service Advisors to ensure vehicles are maintained and safely operatable. This position is responsible for scheduling appointments and creating Repair Orders while maintaining an efficient and achievable shop schedule.
Reports To: Business Development Manager
Job Duties:
· Greet customers and receive payment, explain vehicle reports and answer any questions the customer may have.
· Schedule service appointments including first appointments, special order parts appointments, and warranty appointments as well as any other customer-concern appointments.
· Create Repair Orders and communicate with Service Advisor.
· Work with Sales team to recommend vehicle appraisals at the time of service to grow sales.
· Contact new and existing customers to discuss current sales promotions.
· Collaborate with Sales team on appointments and customer needs.
· Respond to inbound phone calls and internet inquiries to develop customer trust and generate customer visits to our stores.
· Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and to produce referrals.
· Urge sales by being honest, persuasive, and taking initiative to get the job done.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Must have excellent customer service and a desire to help customers
· Ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere
· Detail oriented and proficient with computers, email, smart phones, and the internet
· 1 year(s) experience in customer service, sales, or related work
· Basic Microsoft Office Suite knowledge – Excel, PowerPoint, Word
