Makes recommendations surrounding improving processes, efficiency and practices of the organization's business systems. Being a Business Process Systems Consultant simulates and tests process system improvements. Communicates changes and may provide training to impacted business units. Additionally, Business Process Systems Consultant requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance and Administration, the Business Systems Administrator supports all aspects of the administrative enterprise resource planning system (Ellucian Colleague) and its interfaces to third-party applications. Responsibilities include user administration, software upgrades, general maintenance, backups, troubleshooting, configuration, employee training, documentation, security, and overall support. This position helps manage multiple University initiatives ensuring effective use of delivered functionality, and developing custom features, as needed. This position is also responsible for data analysis, collaborating with campus constituents, and providing solutions to resolve problems and enhance processes. Must possess the ability to evaluate existing practices and implement new practices where needed. This position will be the expert institutional resource for business system related policies and procedures and will implement processes and procedures that increase service to University operations.
