As a member of the Sustaining Engineering team, you would join other smart, talented, and dedicated engineers that pride themselves in analyzing the most difficult challenges for the launch-test range while developing and delivering solutions to meet the needs of the US Space Force and their customers.
Detailed Description:
- Perform moderately complex systems performance analysis and research activities on Launch Test Range System (LTRS) Range systems to identify root causes for anomalous performance and develop graphics and narrative reports that effectively communicate analysis results and recommended mitigation strategies to the customer.
- Perform pre-launch and post-launch systems analysis functions using analytic software modeling tools such as AGI Satellite Tool Kit (STK), MATLAB, and all MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access and Outlook) to model theoretical vs. actual performance of launch vehicles to support Range Instrumentation anomaly analysis and equipment commitment planning.
- Perform system requirements analysis to support operational acceptance recommendation development and engineering project integration for system hardware upgrades and modifications.
- Resolve customer concerns with analysis details and products and responds to suggestions for improvements.
- Evaluate technical documentation of peer analysts as part of structured peer review process for all documents.
- Research, analyze and report on emerging negative anomaly trends to help coordinate with Sustaining Engineering principals for corrective actions needed to ensure continued mission support capabilities.
- Evaluate junior analyst reporting products to ensure accuracy and compliance with company quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineer, or Math (STEM) or related field.
- Two or more years of experience with analysis of aerospace system performance.
- Experience working in a systems engineering environment and supporting design, developmental and sustainment engineering disciplines
- Experience working engineering product test acceptance-related tasks and integration of new systems and/or software into an existing architecture.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, diverse environment with regimented reporting structure and short suspense dates on reports to customers.
- Experience working with relational databases, scheduling software, and other related technologies.
- Experience working with modeling software such as AGI STK, GIANT and MATLAB desired; ability to use modeling techniques to analyze pre-/post-launch performance trends and anomalous behavior of Range systems and launch vehicles.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineer, or Math (STEM) or related field.
- Two or more years of experience with analysis of aerospace system performance.
- Experience working in a systems engineering environment and supporting design, developmental and sustainment engineering disciplines
- Experience working engineering product test acceptance-related tasks and integration of new systems and/or software into an existing architecture.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, diverse environment with regimented reporting structure and short suspense dates on reports to customers.
- Experience working with relational databases, scheduling software, and other related technologies.
- Experience working with modeling software such as AGI STK, GIANT and MATLAB desired; ability to use modeling techniques to analyze pre-/post-launch performance trends and anomalous behavior of Range systems and launch vehicles.
Desired Experience:
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
- Frequent travel between Patrick Space Force Base and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station based on project or launch schedules.
- Occasional travel to Jonathan Dickinson Missile Tracking Annex depending upon specific work assignments.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
