    The Senior Business Systems Analyst implements and supports enterprise software applications and related systems. This position works closely with business teams and subject matter experts to understand business goals and initiatives, develop requirements and specifications, and deliver high-quality solutions to meet the business needs. Provides oversight and ownership of application functionality, data, and configuration in areas of expertise.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Evaluate, configure, develop and maintain enterprise software applications & supporting systems, functionality, data, reporting, and integrations to meet business needs
    • Work with business team members in developing effective requirements and specifications, and create corresponding solution designs, documentation, and test scripts.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of business processes, requirements, and how our systems and software are used to support them, including data models, transactional flows, and application interfaces.
      • Manage system setups, custom configurations and extensions, and change management lifecycle testing across environments
    • Perform ongoing support and troubleshooting of business software operations, resolve data or transactional issues, and engage with other technical and third-party support resources as needed
    • Develop specifications and solutions independently and in partnership with engineering and operational resources. Direct the work of contract resources.
    • Create and maintain training materials and instruct end users on effective application use
    • Regularly engage with business partners to seek out opportunities for improvement
    • Own the architecture and provide input on the technical strategy and conventions, and follow established documentation, code style and testing conventions
    • Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices and standards for business software effectiveness
    • Other duties as assigned
    • Act as a lead role to other team members, directing activities and project goals
    • Own and manage large, complex projects independently, including planning, prioritization, coordination, communication, delivery, and measurement
    • Responsible for multiple, complex functional subject areas, process areas and data

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries no supervisory responsibility

    Qualifications and Skills

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5-8 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required qualifications and skills.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience supporting manufacturing operations applications in medium to large environments.
    • Strong knowledge of typical business processes in areas of responsibility and supporting system functions and transaction flows
    • Skilled in using SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting
    • Experience with relevant programming language(s) and standards
    • Experience with project management and delivery methodologies
    • Knowledge of report building tools and concepts
    • Highly skilled in general office productivity tools
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently to deliver effective solutions

    LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, vendors, and customers, including communicating technical information to individuals without technical backgrounds.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    Bay area California Compensation Range: $111,200 - $166,800

    *This range is for California employees living in the Bay area. Other locations may be subject to a lower range.
