Business Systems Analysis Director directs all aspects of an organization's business systems. Plans and implements technological service strategies within a shared services environment to support business and user needs. Being a Business Systems Analysis Director acts as major liaison with other departments to identify the business system meets the enterprise's needs. Analyzes trends and uses complex data modeling to improve business performance. Additionally, Business Systems Analysis Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Systems Analysis Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     In this position you will report to the VP of Finance and be accountable for leading the Operational Finance team in managing the Organization's global strategic business plan, budgets and financial analysis, global product costing and gross margin reporting, impact of foreign exchange on the business, global operational accounting reserve policies and calculations, and support brands and business units with analyses. Provide leadership coaching to the Operational Finance Team.

    Requirements

    Education:

    Required: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance

    Preferred: CPA and or MBA


    Work Experience:

    Required: 7-10 Years

    Preferred: 10 years in a public company environment

    Operational Effectiveness

         - Ability to grasp Organization's short and long term priorities and develop systems, processes and policies to support the achievement of them in a cost effective manner.

         - On an ongoing basis, evaluate and prioritizes activities, focus people resources against key business priorities.


    Alternative qualification: Accounting designation - CPA and or MBA preferred

         - 10 years working knowledge in accounting and finance with at least 6 years supervisory experience

         - Exceptional Interpersonal skills, a collaborative style and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels

         - Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work effectively within time constraints

         - Knowledge of Financial and ERP systems

         - Proficient in Microsoft Office software


    Required licenses: CPA and or CMA preferred

    Essential Functions

    Authorized and responsible to continuosly improve upon and perform all duties according to BD Inc's Quality, Safety and Employee Policies and procedures:


    1. Leadership

         - Develop Finance team goals that are fully aligned with the foundation goals

         - Lead and coach the team to recruit and retain high caliber staff

         - Provide coaching, guidance and support, set professinal development plans to assist employees to reach their full potential through the Performance Management process

         - Ensure the team delivers the highest standard of departmental, cross departmental and cross foundation teamwork and customer service.

         - Ensure optimal deployment of resources to achieve business goals.


    2.. Management Reporting

         - Responsible for internal financial management reporting for each of the organization's brands

         - Work in conjunction with the IT group and Corporate Controller to ensure financial management reporting tools and processes are in place to support the ongoing and future needs of the business.

         - Develop and prepare a monthly Management Reporting Package for each brand encompassing global performance

         - Develop regular reporting and analysis, including key metrics reports, and conduct ad hoc financial analaysis as required.


    3. Budgeting and Financial Modeling
        - Lead the annual business plan development and budgeting process
        - Lead the Long Range Planning (LRP) process

         - Lead the monthly and or quarterly global P&L forecast process
        - Provide ongoing financial modeling and analysis expertise to business partners.
        - Lead the financial modeling and analysis to support the development of long term strategic initiatives and business plans

         - Understand, calculate and communicate the impacts to foreign exchange to the organization


    4. Global accounting reserves

        - Develop and or maintain global policies for inventory, warranty, accounts receivable and sales returns reserves
       - Responsible for the Global review of accounting reserves and supporting metrics as well as the calculation of the North America reserves.

        - Prepare global reserves summary memo each quarter that support’s the organization’s reserve levels.


    5. Global Systems, Policies, and Procedures

        - Recommend to Senior Management and or develop global operational controls that will help facilitate the growth of the company

        - Ensure all policies and systems that the operational finance teams are responsible for comply with SOX
