Business Systems Analysis Director directs all aspects of an organization's business systems. Plans and implements technological service strategies within a shared services environment to support business and user needs. Being a Business Systems Analysis Director acts as major liaison with other departments to identify the business system meets the enterprise's needs. Analyzes trends and uses complex data modeling to improve business performance. Additionally, Business Systems Analysis Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Systems Analysis Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Business Systems Analysis Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     The Financial Planning & Analysis Director supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope and the Convoy of Hope Foundation by providing financial and strategic support to the executive team through measuring, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting key financial data.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Develops and implements financial strategies and plans to achieve business goals and objectives.
    2. Provides financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and reporting to support decision making across the organization.
    3. Cultivates strong relationships across all departments and works collaboratively to develop and manage annual budget and forecasting processes.
    4. Recommends cost-effective alternatives for current and future projects.
    5. Identifies, designs, and implements process improvements and best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Financial Planning & Analysis function.
    6. Leads the development and maintenance of financial and operational metrics to monitor and drive performance.
    7. Assists in developing and presenting training on budgeting matters.
    8. Fulfills all other duties as assigned.

     

    Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    1. A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
    2. CMA or CPA certification is preferred.
    3. Five or more years of experience in related accounting field is required.
    4. Exhibits strong communication and presentation skills.
    5. Possesses exceptional knowledge of analyzing risks, preparing forecasts, and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
    6. Displays advanced knowledge of financial and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state and national regulations.
    7. Possesses proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office knowledge, and accounting software knowledge.
    8. Pays accurate and precise attention to detail.
    9. Maintains a professional and positive working relationship with fellow team members.
    10. Multitasks, prioritizes projects, and manages time efficiently.
    11. Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
    12. Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
    13. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization's religious purposes for which it exists, and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
