Torch Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Business Information Systems Manager to become part of our 100% employee-owned EvergreenTM ESOP company, continually growing with ever present infrastructure and business system initiatives. The Manager is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and operations of corporate business applications to include but not limited to: Deltek Costpoint, Deltek Talent Management, IBM TM1, Hyland OnBase, IBM Cognos and corporate software development. Must possess an overall understanding of appropriate business information processes and workflows to streamline work product and increase corporate efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for developing, managing, implementing, and monitoring business applications, reporting, and analytics.
  • Key contributor to the implementation of new products or business processes.
  • Engage with stakeholders to respond to new applications and/or enhancements.
  • Define and document requirements for robust enterprise solutions, business tools, and analytic resources.
  • Collaborate in a team environment across departments to manage projects and maintain continuity of service.
  • Support business intelligence and analytic initiatives across company.
• Owns and maintains Torch Technologies’ business applications
  • Uses business process knowledge to develop and plan optimal use of the system within the organization.
  • Configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Manage the user access provisioning and deprovisioning processes.
  • Performs periodic regulatory reviews, sets up key controls and reporting as needed.
  • In conjunction with IT Infrastructure ensures routine application maintenance including application backups, file system maintenance, system updates & upgrades, etc.
  • Manages the lifecycle of business systems and applications from implementation through obsolescence.
  • Regularly performs assessments not limited to system capacity, usage, adoption, security, and compatibility and develops plans to improve results and performance throughout the business as it pertains to system assessments, adoption, overall usage, compliance, and workflow.
• Manage the day-to-day performance of subordinate staff to ensure all projects, department milestones, and/or goals are met within budget and achieve overall corporate strategic objectives.
  • Understand how to implement corporate initiatives at a team and individual staff level.
  • Maximize individual staff member contributions to drive overall team forward in accomplishing IT milestones and goals.
  • Work closely with each individual staff member to develop goals that foster personal, technical, and growth development.
  • Develop, implement, and refine team metrics to continuously improve team performance.
  • Monitor performance, conduct staff member reviews, and develop/maintain development plans for each staff member
  
  

Experience and Skills

• 5 years of experience of Project or direct Business Information System Management.
• 10 years of experience with Business applications such as Deltek product suite, IBM Cognos, and other large software implementations and integrations.
• Deltek technical and functional architecture, data model along with new and emerging Deltek capabilities.
• Experience in network infrastructure architectures, implementations and on-going support.
• Experienced in server management as well as data storage within a co-located data center environment.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in both written and verbal form
• Proven hands-on management style

Requirements

• BS/BA in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study or equivalent years of experience.
• MA/MBA a plus
• 5 year experience in a leadership role
• U.S. Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
