  • Position Summary:

    The Business Project Manager will work with employees of HPS | PayMedix and its clients to plan, implement, and monitor company projects from inception to completion. This role will share insights, status, and progress with business stakeholders and executives, and will assist in improving efficiency and effectiveness of HPS | PayMedix projects and processes. The Business Project Manager will be a process management expert and will be responsible for delivering high quality and efficient inter-department workflows.

    • Keeps current on industry and competitive business best practices and advancements
    • Evaluates existing processes and looks for opportunities for improvements and enhancements
    • Actively manages and monitors business processes; identifies opportunities to improve and delivers improvements to existing processes and workflows; drives a culture of management discipline
    • Actively manages and monitors projects from ideation to the company’s adoption; drives, documents, and tracks implementations with new HPS | PayMedix clients; drives a culture of management discipline
    • Coordinates work across all departments within the company, and sometimes with external partners
    • Identifies both internal and external customer pain points, leveraging tools and other team members to drive solutions
    • Identifies opportunities and delivers improvement to existing projects
    • Can easily speak to and illustrate process flows
    • Manages complexity across multiple departments
    • Builds and maintains relationships across the company and with product vendors
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    The perfect candidate for the Business Project Manager role will be analytical, tenacious and motivated, and will have a demonstrated expertise in project management and process management. Experience working with software development teams and methodologies is strongly preferred. We are seeking someone who is driven to solve problems and make things better, someone who is organized and able to balance many tasks at once, and someone who is passionate about the overall experience of our customers, partners and employees. Leadership experience is preferred. This role requires excellent written, verbal, and diagramming/mapping skills. The ideal candidate will be able to use visuals to simplify complex concepts and be comfortable engaging in technical conversations with IT professionals.

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree or education generally equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Process Management, Computer Science, or related field
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, business analysis, and/or process management or related experience
    • Candidates with a combination of significant relevant on-the-job experience and education meeting the minimum requirements may be substituted
    • Highly skilled with process management and project management tools (e.g. JIRA, Visio, Asana)
