Based in our Marshalltown, IA or Sherman, TX location, the Business Data Analyst uses their business and finance experience to collaborate with multi-functional teams. As digital transformation increases technology usage within manufacturing, knowing how to use and maintain key business systems infrastructure within operations is becoming increasingly important. The Business Analyst for Finance and Intelligent Automation will be part of establishing these key competencies within the manufacturing business systems team by maintaining business critical ERP functionality, teaching others how to optimize their use of currently available ERP functions, and serving as a leader on the team building out the business systems infrastructure of the future. In addition, while this is not an IT role, this role will act as a liaison between the operations and information technology departments by helping translate business initiatives and needs into functional, system and program specifications that can be used by IT for current and future business systems work.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Take the lead in Flow Controls Global site implementations/project management related to finance/accounting and data analytics with Intelligent Automation, including ERP refresh work required as a part of foundational work to prepare for MES implementations at each factory and ERP data prep work for new Oracle implementations
- Support Enterprise and Site teams working on new Oracle implementations and ensure alignment with Flow Controls Global Design
- Ensure enhancement requests from the business are optimized for the organization globally, and the solutions become part of the Flow Controls Global Oracle design.
- Critically evaluate enhancement requests, business objectives, return on investment, etc.
- Technical Development of new enhancement RICE (production support/production improvements) related to the finance track and/or Intelligent Automation reporting
- Assess current business needs regarding system enhancements and develop scope and specifications for identified improvement projects
- Coordinate with IT on all improvement projects to maintain alignment between operational and IT goals and objectives
- Manage the portfolio of finance and Intelligent Automation enhancement projects, which includes keeping projects running according to the yearly plan and business priorities
- Evaluate progress and results and recommend major changes in procedures to continuously improve business systems
- Gather and prepare the functional requirement specifications for enhancement projects, work flow definitions and deliverables (Stage Gate process, RFC process). Document and store these for future reference
- Understand and work with finance teams to ensure alignment of manufacturing business systems with other key finance/accounting systems
- Create global critical metric dashboards using Intelligent Automation tools and Oracle/other available data
- Serve as Intelligent Automation expert within the Manufacturing Business Systems team. Teach others on the team how to use Intelligent Automation tools as needed for their roles, and teach Intelligent Automation Citizen Developers how to access Oracle data for their projects correctly
- Understand data structure in Oracle and work closely with Data Management team in IT to ensure changes to Oracle align with global master data strategy and new reports created by citizen developers are accessing data correctly
- Provide finance-track expertise for global and site teams setting up new product routings and other new data
- Solve issues with pricing/costs within Oracle and work with appropriate teams to get those issues resolved
- Help create key performance indicator metrics from available financial data to measure project success
- Train business system users in standard methodologies to avoid system issues and optimize their use of existing business system functionality to efficiently perform their work
- Global CTE Testing & Support for the Finance track as new products, orders, and functionality continuously evolve the business systems of today for the new challenges of tomorrow
- Represent Flow Controls on Enterprise functional / standards teams as required
- Work with external consultants as required to design optimal process changes as requested by business leadership

- BA/BS in Business or Operations related field or equivalent work experience
- 4 years of professional experience, including 1 years of finance experience
- Experience working in virtual teams
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- 5 years related Flow Controls experience preferred
- Good knowledge of the Flow Controls global organization, people and processes
- Previous Oracle experience preferred
- Experience with Intelligent Automation/Microsoft Power Platform products preferred
