Job Description
PCG is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst for its Corporate IT operations based in Lenexa, KS. This individual will:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Liaison between business users and development team
- Use knowledge and experience to review, analyze and suggest improvements in company processes and procedures for better utilization of ERP system and other business applications
- Seek out the best ways to improve processes and increase efficiencies through technology, strategy, analytic solutions, and more
- Maintain and create functional documentation artifacts, including user stories, use cases, core process documentation, activity diagrams, data flow diagrams, use case diagrams, etc. when applicable
- Establish working relationships with stakeholders, business partners and vendors
- Translates conceptual customer requirements (the WHAT and WHY) into functional requirements (user stories) in a clear manner that is comprehensible to scrum team. During decomp, the scrum team will identify the how
- Define business-driven acceptance criteria by making sure it is detailed enough to say the team can accept this work as completed
- Prepare for and lead backlog grooming sessions with Product Owner
- Validate work items are ready to be presented to scrum team during team decomp sessions
- Anticipate, identify, and escalate issues/risks. Leverages personal and experimental knowledge to propose workarounds, preventions and/or solutions
- Collaborate with system architects, subject matter experts and product owners to establish a functional vision of the project
- Document existing processes and define user stories that can lead to efficiencies in existing processes
- Thoroughly understand, follow, and promote the use of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and established internal IT processes and procedures.
- Provide high-quality analytical solutions for the key stakeholders
- Support agile/scrum practices and encourage the improvement of service
- Understanding of technical business area related to the projects assigned
- Work on production bugs/issues – research and diagnose the issue, work with the business to understand the steps taken and analyze the data/system to find the solution
- Participates in 3rd party vendor meetings and gathering requirements for the integration/configurations within the applications
- When applicable, leads User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase – works with the SMEs and Product Owner on creating test cases/scenarios. Works with the technical trainer to facilitate the session and questions from the SME testers. Also, troubleshoot and track issues in the issues log and create new work items and discuss with scrum team.
- When applicable, leads Conference Room Pilot (CRP) phase – works with the SMEs and Product Owner on creating test cases/scenarios. Works with the technical trainer to facilitate the session and questions from the SME testers. Also, troubleshoot and track issues in the issues log and create new work items and discuss with scrum team
- Assist with post deployment activities including troubleshooting bugs/issues while working with the Application Services team
- Work with Technical Training team to develop training documentation
- Work with the Application Support team on the knowledge transfer handoff of the applications prior to the release to production
- Document system configurations needed done by a System Administrator or the Business on a new application
- Contributes to strong morale in the department and corporate office
- Maintain a positive attitude and out look for all situations
Requirements
Basic Requirements:
- 1-4 years of business systems analysis experience

Preferred Requirements:
- Located in the KC Metro area
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite
- Microsoft Certified Functional Consultant, completion of MB-300 and MB-310 exams
- Certified Product Owner
