ERP Business Systems Analyst
Classification: Salary Exempt
Reports to: Director of IT Business Systems
Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The ERP Business Systems Analyst will support the operation of enterprise-wide business systems, including Epicor ERP/Kinetic. The ideal candidate will have a technical and functional ERP background in manufacturing as well as exceptional written and verbal communication skills. This position is responsible for analyzing/refining business processes, identifying/defining user & technical requirements, developing IT business cases and helping to implement new solutions & capabilities. The position works closely with key members within the business, and other members of the IT team, bringing forth opportunities to better leverage business applications to support the planned company growth.

- Participates in multiple ERP and other business systems projects, simultaneously
- Helps set and meet tight deadlines to achieve project milestones
- Works with various business areas to identify/develop solutions to refine business processes and increase productivity, profitability, and efficiency
- Participates in development activities to support the continual improvement of the ERP system
- Creates required project deliverables including, business process flow charts, configuration documentation, functional and technical specifications, test scripts, and training materials
- Assists with all required activities to help quickly and seamlessly integrate newly acquired organizations
- Participates in upgrade activities including preparation, testing, and execution
- Conducts end-user training to utilize Epicor ERP more effectively
- Leads internal functional testing of new/modified development items throughout the development cycle
- Accurately prepares written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, and professional
- Follows, Maintains, and recommends best practices for the ERP system to fully support the business while ensuring data security and integrity
- Researches available tools and technologies to provide innovative solutions to application and business issues
- Works together with senior team members to acquire guidance/training in various aspects of the business systems and methodologies
- Acquires new technical skills within various areas of the ERP system through structured classes, conferences, webinars, and hands-on experience
- Keeps tickets and key stakeholders updated regularly on statuses of issues or new requests
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 2 years of ERP Analyst experience (Epicor/Kinetic preferred) in a manufacturing environment
- 2 years of experience with writing MS SQL Server queries
- Proficient in report writing (SSRS preferred)
- Experience with turning on new software features, improving processes, and driving change with new technology
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products
- Provide a professional level of customer service and demonstrate a positive attitude
- Exhibit thorough and meticulous work in every facet of the role
- Work well both as a team member and individually
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Effectively and comfortably communicate and work with all levels of the organization, including both technical and non-technical audiences
- Possess basic understanding of IT infrastructure, networking communication, and information security
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Expected normal weekly hours 45 – 50 per week. Must be flexible to occasionally work extended hours when needed to support system maintenance, deployments/upgrades, and urgent production issues.
Travel
There is minimal travel with this position. Occasional travel to other Webster locations may be required. Travel to a yearly software conference is expected.
