    Oversees Banking Center(s) through and with the assistance of either Banking Center Officers, Personal Banking Managers, or Senior Personal Banking Advisors. Responsible for all aspects of sales and service activities, team member development, physical security and adherence to all operational, compliance and regulatory guidelines of assigned retail location.  Maintain community involvement to promote goodwill and generate new business for the bank.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Remain aware of the Bank's goals and objectives and makes appropriate recommendations from their observations
    • Works with Director of Retail Banking and/or Sales and Service Officer to improve the Banks market share
    • Communicate operational updates and Bank updates to their staff on a regular basis
    • Motivate staff to achieve sales goals for branches through daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
    • Leads a daily branch group huddle with all staff on site
    • Ensure sales goals are met/exceeded for own branch(es) and for their team members.
    • Responsible for deposit, portfolio, and household base growth in accordance with sales and relationship goals established for specific branch(es).
    • Works with the most senior level supervisors at their offices to determine action plans for training needs.
    • Actively participate in Team meetings to increase Bank profitability
    • Makes recommendation to Senior Management concerning termination of Branch Staff employees
    • Able to execute independent critical business decisions while measuring risk
    • Coach/mentor/motivate employees on an ongoing basis while reviewing client observations and other similar interactions
    • Oversees completion of Branch monthly audit reports for their respective offices.
    • Maintain consistent and up-to-date information on banking issues and policies, improving them as necessary, inclusive of training subordinates.
    • Oversees the review of daily logs and procedures for accuracy and consistency
    • Conduct weekly security/safety/transactional/updates of Branch.
    • Conducts monthly coaching and feedback of their team members and documents coaching and visits.
    • Contributes to the career development of their staff and communicates career path goals accordingly
    • Complete monthly budget response reports as needed
    • Involvement in, as a board member, of community and civic organizations as well as regular participation in local and bank sponsored charity events to promote the goodwill and generate new business for the bank
    • Assist client needs with new accounts, problems or clarification of bank materials including deposit and lending services
    • Works closely with the Marketing team for opportunities for exposure within the Banks footprint
    • Responsible for all aspects of team member management including but not limited to interviewing candidates, hiring recommendations, completing annual appraisals, performance management by partnering with Human Resources and the Director of Retail.
    • Enrolls in and supports continuing education and industry classes for themselves and subordinates
    • Work with Sales and Service Officer to improve branch sales environment and development of all team members
    • Work with Retail Operations Coordinator to minimize errors and improve workflow efficiencies
    • Enforce the adherence of rules and regulations of their staff.
    • Perform annual employee performance appraisals and works with Director of Retail Banking, Banking Center Officers or Personal Banking Manager to complete these appraisals accurately and fairly
    • Responsible and available for after hour alarm conditions & contact list
    • Builds partnerships with internal and external business partners including, Wealth Management, Commercial Lending and Cash Management, and Merchant Services to build and expand client relationships.
    • Review and update weekly branch attendance records
    • Proactively develops relationships with consumer and business clients within their branch      footprint
    • Responsible for developing, motivating, and counseling employees.
    • Ensures that branch building, maintenance, equipment, and supplies is adequate and in proper working condition
    • Proactively works with Bank branch vendors to ensure ATM/Face2Face machines are in constant working order
    • Reports down time of machines as needed and participates in tasks to improve uptime of machines consistently
    • Assists in conducting regular combined meetings of their team(s) to review operational issues, communicate new information, and provide motivational training.  Meetings will also include sales activities and results, as well as shared best practices
    • Actively participate in weekly Retail Officer meetings
    • Proactively seeks opportunities to ensure the growth of the branch and the Bank, including, but not limited to Mortgage origination and small business development tasks
    • Actively develops Community connections including Centers of Influence, Referral Sources, Community Influencers, etc.
    • Produce Residential Lending loans, Small Business Loans, or Investment sales as a dedicated individual producer.
    • Actively promotes use of digital channels for new and existing customers by demonstrating use of the F2F, ATM, online banking and mobile deposit alternatives.

    SECONDARY DUTIES


    Additional opportunities within the Bank network such as residential and small business loan origination. Volunteer opportunities within the community should be a constant driver to increase exposure.


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 


    Banking Center Officers, Senior Personal Banking Managers, Personal Banking Managers, Sr. Personal Banking Advisors, Personal Banking Advisors and Tellers. Will supervise approximately 3-8 direct reports.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

    A minimum of an Associate’s Degree and 3 to 5 years of related experience or training in a Bank or Branch setting; Bachelor’s degree is preferred. 

    LANGUAGE SKILLS 

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    REASONING ABILITY 

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
