This is a part-time job.
The working hours are Monday - Friday 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM. On Wednesday you will do a local afternoon route. The route leaves at 2:00 PM and gets back to the office at 4:30 PM.
The duties of this job will include helping to process our customers' mail to submit it to the USPS using machines like a postage machine or letter sorter. You will flip through the mail to ensure postage is properly applied to the envelopes and the barcode is printed correctly. All mail will go into a 2-foot tray after it is looked at. All mail will be palletized and shrink-wrapped to be submitted to the USPS. Additional duties will include learning an afternoon route that you will do every Wednesday. You will drive our vehicle with a company gas card in it while running the route. You will unload the mail upon your return to the office and be done for the day. There are 12 stops on this route at the same time and place.
Requirements:
-You must have a valid NC Driver’s License.
-You must undergo a background check.
-You must have a reliable way to and from work and show up on time for each day you are scheduled to work.
-You must be able to lift 50 pounds from the ground without assistance.
-You must be able to start immediately.
Responsibilities:
-Safely operate a company vehicle to transport our customers' mail to designated locations
-Load and unload mail, ensuring proper handling and securing of items/mail trays
-Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely pickup/delivery of mail
-Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
Experience:
-Physical fitness and the ability to perform heavy lifting are required.
