    Job Summary:
    Orders Spare Parts and Indirect Material for Facility


  • Verifies requisitions with MRP to ensure need of orders and inventory levels

  • Reviews needs for departments and then negotiates and orders appropriatly


  • Reviews and Compares quotes to ensure best price for company


  • Issues Requests for Quotes (RFQ) and Purchase Orders (PO)

  • Follows up on open orders

  • Manages relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods and compliance of contracts

  • Works with multiple departments to resolve supply chain issues


  • Prepare reports as necessary to review inventory and purchasing trends

  • Researches parts and helps collegues locate and source materials


  • Quality - Ensures quality by continually watching for any abnormality and reporting it timely

  • Safety - follows company procedures and uses material and equipment per manufacturers' directions

  • Other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    Employee must have 3 years of Purchasing experience. SAP and Manufacturing Experience is a plus along with a comprehensive understanding of ERP/MRP and min/max ordering. Additionally, he/she must possess good problem solving skills, basic math skills, along with good interpersonal skills. Working harmoniously with co-workers while exhibiting a "can-do" attitude is critical to success. Employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a somewhat frequent basis.
