CAD Drafter utilizes computer-aided design (CAD) software and other techniques, standards, and tools to prepare technical drawings. Prepares computer-aided design (CAD) drafts, drawings, and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches. Being a CAD Drafter maintains deadlines, goals, and production standards set by the department. Coordinates and consults with engineers or designers to complete projects. Additionally, CAD Drafter transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software. Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The CAD Drafter work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a CAD Drafter typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.     JOB SUMMARY
    The Piping Designer Drafter is involved in the production of piping and equipment drawings using AutoCad and CADWorx software.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
    • Production of piping and equipment drawings using AutoCad and CADWorx software in compliance to Anvil or the Client's standards and specifications.
    • Produce all documents and drawings required to: fabricate pipe spools, purchase materials and assemble piping systems
    • Perform a self-check of all documents created and snoop all drawings.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • Strong communication, organization, and computer skills (Microsoft software)
    • Proficient in AutoCAD
    • Movitated, good analytical skills, and enjoy working in a challenging team environment.
    • Able to provide project drafting/design support on small to medium projects
    • Finished product meets all safety in design requirement and is easily operable and maintainable.
    • Maintains an excellent understanding of AUTOCAD, or similar software.
      • Applicants must be able to obtain a TWIC card.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • A.A.S. or higher in engineering technology or related discipline
      • Relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of an Associate's degree
    • 1-5 years experience in process pipe design in hydrocarbon service, drawing production.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    • Able to sit/stand, type, and perform computer work for long periods of time.
    • Frequent use of hands/fingers for computer entry and answering phones.
    • Able to perform occasional bending, lifting, and reaching.
    • Must be able to lift 15 lbs if necessary.
    • Field trips to job sites (local and/or remote), with travel and remote site assignments.
