The Detailer is responsible for the project coordination and complete development of the 3D model, approval and placement plans, and bills of material according to project specifications and product requirements utilizing Tekla, a comprehensive 3D modeling program. A successful Detailer is a self-starter, highly motivated, and able to manage time resources in a fast-paced environment. They must consistently and reliably demonstrate the Nucor core values of Safety, Integrity, Trust, Innovation, Open Communication, Teamwork, Inclusion, Courage, Can-Do Attitude and Ownership. The specific job responsibilities include reading and interpreting structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design requirements related to steel joists and deck to accurately prepare detailed drawings and bills of material. They must be able to fulfill commitments on a regular basis while maintaining a "World Class" level of quality and establishing effective working relationships with Teammates and Customers. The Detailer is responsible for understanding and supporting Vulcraft practices, customer needs and division goals while working overtime when required to meet commitments.

Starting compensation for this role ranges from $18-$19 per hour and is eligible for a monthly Detailer Productivity Incentive Plan and annual division earned Profit Sharing bonus. When factoring in the Detailer Productivity Incentive Plan, starting annual pay ranges between approximately $46,000 - $48,600 per year.
After training is completed, future compensation for this role ranges from $19.50 per hour to $36.50 per hour plus the Detailer Productivity Incentive. When factoring in the Detailer Productivity Incentive, the future annual pay ranges from approximately $49,500-$92,700 per year.
