Prepares computer-aided design (CAD) drafts, drawings, and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches. Being a CAD Drafter maintains deadlines, goals, and production standards set by the department. Coordinates and consults with engineers or designers to complete projects. Additionally, CAD Drafter transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software. Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The CAD Drafter work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a CAD Drafter typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. JOB DESCRIPTION
Souder, Miller & Associates is recruiting a full time CAD Tech III/IV/V for the General Civil department in El Paso, Texas. We are seeking a dynamic drafter that can multi-task between numerous projects while maintaining effective communication with the remainder of the team. The CAD Tech III/IV/V will directly support and coordinate with the Project Manager and design team. The candidate must be familiar with the application of principles, methods, and techniques of engineering technology. We are looking for someone who can complete the variety of tasks in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
