CAD Drafter utilizes computer-aided design (CAD) software and other techniques, standards, and tools to prepare technical drawings. Prepares computer-aided design (CAD) drafts, drawings, and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches. Being a CAD Drafter maintains deadlines, goals, and production standards set by the department. Coordinates and consults with engineers or designers to complete projects. Additionally, CAD Drafter transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software. Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The CAD Drafter work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a CAD Drafter typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. QualEx Engineering is looking for an entry level Electrical Drafter. This job is in Paducah, Kentucky and relocation or commuting will be required.
Basic Job Duties include the following:
· Preparation of drawings and documentation for power distribution, lighting, motor control communications, heat tracing, grounding systems, instrument plans, circuit schedules, and instrument loop drawings.
· Update drawings, directories, and associated project files
· Communicate effectively with the Electrical/Project Lead
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience should include:
· High School Diploma (Associate Degree in drafting technology, or equivalent work experience in with Architectural/Engineering disciplines is preferred)
· Proficiency in AutoCAD is required
· Experience with Microsoft Office products is a plus
· Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
