Additionally, CAD Drafter transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software. Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The CAD Drafter work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a CAD Drafter typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. The Cabinet Drafter is responsible for creating all cabinet drawings under the supervision of the Sales Team manager. This role is critical to creating cabinet designs that bring in new projects for the company and to translating customer needs to the production floor. Drafters work closely with the Sales Team, Operations Manager, and Department leads in the production shop to create high quality, well designed cabinets.
