CAT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and answers patient questions. Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures. Being a CAT Scan Technologist performs obstetric and gynecological scans, ultrasound techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, CAT Scan Technologist requires completion of radiologic technology training and American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. CAT Scan Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Veterinary technicians are key members of our Cat Care Team. Responsibilities include directly supporting and assisting our veterinarians in providing excellent care for our patients and clients, treating hospitalized patients, as well as other duties.

Our ideal candidate is able to perform the following with accuracy and consistency:
· Running and assisting doctors in exam rooms
· Creating invoices and estimates and discussing these with clients with confidence
· Reading skin scrapes, ear cytology, fecal parasite tests and urinalyses
· Venipuncture
· Catheter placement
· Lab sample collection
· Admitting and discharging surgical patients
· Monitoring hospitalized patients
· Dispensing medications as directed by veterinarians
· Assisting with surgical procedures/dentals
· Monitoring patients under anesthesia
