CAT Scan Technologist jobs in Hialeah, FL
CAT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and answers patient questions. Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures. Being a CAT Scan Technologist performs obstetric and gynecological scans, ultrasound techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, CAT Scan Technologist requires completion of radiologic technology training and American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. CAT Scan Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Job Description
As a medical technologist, you'll analyze bodily fluids to check for disease and abnormalities. Working in a hospital, lab, private practice, outpatient center or other healthcare facility, you'll collect blood and/or urine samples, analyze samples, maintain equipment and handle patient data. You'll play a critical role in maintaining sterile conditions, preventing disease and helping patients and providers find answers to various health concerns.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent experience as a medical technologist
- ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB Certification
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Current state license (if applicable)
