CAT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and answers patient questions. Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures. Being a CAT Scan Technologist performs obstetric and gynecological scans, ultrasound techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, CAT Scan Technologist requires completion of radiologic technology training and American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. CAT Scan Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. ```Duties:```
- Groom and style pets according to client specifications and breed standards
- Bathe, brush, and trim pets' fur or feathers
- Clip nails, clean ears, and perform other grooming tasks as needed
- Assess pets' skin and coat condition and recommend appropriate treatments or products
- Provide basic grooming services such as teeth brushing and anal gland expression
- Monitor pets for any signs of health issues or abnormalities during grooming sessions
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area
```Requirements:```
- Previous experience as a pet groomer or in a related field such as animal care, dog training, veterinary assistant, or pet sitting
- Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming needs
- Strong skills in dog handling and understanding of animal behavior
- Ability to lift heavy animals (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bathing and grooming
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with pet owners and understand their grooming preferences
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision when handling sharp grooming tools
- Certification or training in pet grooming is a plus, but not required
