CAT Scan Technologist jobs in Manchester, NH
CAT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and answers patient questions. Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures. Being a CAT Scan Technologist performs obstetric and gynecological scans, ultrasound techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, CAT Scan Technologist requires completion of radiologic technology training and American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. CAT Scan Technologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Performs computerized axial tomography procedures with minimum supervision and maintains equipment & supplies.
Responsibilities
- Administers all steps of the CAT scan with the patient: Pre-exam processing, performing the exam, post-exam documentation.
- Maintains cleanliness of all rooms and machines in the department.
- Monitors all supplies and informs designated person prior to depletion.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited radiological technology program.
- Prior experience preferred; extensive on-the-job training.
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire
