CRM Application Administrator administers the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications. Responsible for maintaining the CRM systems including updates, enhancements, building reports, managing dashboards, workflows, and security. Being a CRM Application Administrator monitors end-user usage of systems and performs daily administrative and user support tasks. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, CRM Application Administrator may require either the Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The CRM Application Administrator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     CBC seeks an IT Application Development – Journey to support the mission of Columbia Basin College in the areas of database administration, application development, and database reporting/analysis. This position independently performs consulting, designing, programming, installation, maintenance, quality assurance, troubleshooting and/or technical support for application and software products, databases, database management system, support products and software. This position will assist Marketing with public web design updates or changes.   Most projects are small in scope, requiring frequent contact with stakeholder(s). This position reports to the Assistant Director for System Administration & Development.

    • Leads small to moderate sized software development projects; work with stakeholders (CBC students, faculty and staff) to design, plan, and execute software development projects;
    • Develop new and maintain existing web and desktop applications using ASP.NET MVC/.NET Core, C#, Transact SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other technologies;
    • Perform testing, debugging, support, training and updates to applications based on customer feedback;
    • Write user manuals and technical documentation for new and existing applications;
    • Stay up-to-date with standards, best practices and trends in web and application development;
    • Create and maintain data reports and help administer database systems;
    • Evaluate customer reporting needs and creates/maintains various data reports using SSRS, Tableau and related technologies;
    • Collaborate with Institutional Research department to create and maintain databases for data reporting and analysis;
    • Help administer MS SQL server databases, including creating and maintaining databases and managing access permissions;
    • Administers, maintains and updates servers and software applications;
    • Apply software patches to server operating systems and applications to keep them up-to-date;
    • Communicate with end users about application outages and maintenance; provide technical support for applications;
    • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot system level software; work with vendors to provide data integration and troubleshoot third-party software systems;
    • Administer and maintain the website Content Management System (CMS); creates and edit pages and other content on the website using Modern Campus Omni CMS;
    • Work with CBC faculty and staff to help them with creating pages and provide support for the CMS; troubleshoot issues and escalate to the CMS vendor if necessary; and
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.
    • Associate's degree in Information Technology (programming or database emphasis) or related field from an institutionally accredited college or university; and
    • Two (2) years of experience in analyzing, designing, installing, programming and/or maintaining software applications using technologies such as ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, Transact SQL, CSS, HTML, SSIS, JavaScript or others.

    OR

    • Four (4) years of related experience in analyzing, designing, installing, programming and/or maintaining software applications using technologies.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field from an institutionally accredited college or university; and
    • Familiarity with CBC or ctcLink (PeopleSoft) enterprise application software and related SQL database systems.

    This position is a full-time classified staff position. This position is overtime exempt and the typical work hours are Monday through Thursday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; however, must be available to work a flexible schedule when prior notice is given by the College. This position is available immediately.

    While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, communicate, reach and manipulate objects. The position requires mobility including having the ability to move materials on a regular basis such as files, books, office equipment, etc. Manual dexterity and coordination are required to operate equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment.
