The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a CRM Administrator/Developer (Remote Optional).

The Information Technology and Services team within University Relations is committed to providing excellent partnerships with business units across University Relations, specifically around the implementation of system applications and integrations.
The CRM Admin/Developer will work with our customers and internal delivery team to ensure successful identification and implementation of requirements for our Information Technology projects within the Development Office. This position would be the primary administrator for the Advancement Salesforce Org in the Development Office and will handle basic admin functions, including configuring custom objects/fields, building workflows, user account maintenance, custom metadata maintenance, and assist in the troubleshooting of bug fixes/issues. In addition, this position will design/develop/implement IT solutions to address our division's business needs in our Salesforce org. This position will be resourceful, detail-oriented, and self-directed, demonstrating critical thinking skills with a passion for understanding the customer's business strategy and implementing technical requirements to fulfill the need with a solution. This position may act as a liaison with the Enterprise CRM Salesforce technical team and our technical teams.
Must be capable of developing and driving to a project plan to ensure projects are delivered on time, to specification, without surprises. Coordinate/execute miscellaneous project assignments as requested, and additional duties as assigned.

Business Analysis, Design, and Project Management

• Collaborate with functional units to understand and analyze business objectives and directions, facilitate business requirements definitions, and recommend business processes/technical solutions that provide the best result on investment of the organization
• Collaborate with functional team members to identify business needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Develop process maps and user stories to facilitate a shared understanding of the business process, requirements, and design
• Lead agile and scrum work processes
• Create technical documentation including but not limited to process maps and narratives that provide context for support and utilization
• Participate in planning/analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancements
• Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, and regular standups

Configuration, Validation, and Support

• Implement sustainable solutions that maximizes the use of standard functionality and minimize technical debt
• Perform configuration activities and support for applications, such as security and permissions, configuring custom objects/fields, building workflow and approval processes, and assist with the analysis of bug fixes/issues
• Batch/bulk exports, imports, and updates of data
• Plan and execute solution test strategies and user acceptance testing criteria, and maintenance of both manual and automated test scripts
• Solicit and integrate staff feedback to continuously improve the user experience and troubleshoot needs

Apex Development Develop, implement, and maintain salesforce customizations, applications, extensions and integrations

• Develop Intuitive UI using Apex, Visualforce, and Javascript technologies
• Develop custom apps and integration with other systems
• Provide technical assistance and end-user troubleshooting, bug fixes, enhancements and how-to assistance
• Lead code reviews

Acquire/Maintain Business Practice Expertise Remain current with salesforce technologies and best practices.

• Collaborate with industry experts in salesforce development and architecture disciplines.
• Explore Salesforce community and peer resources to identify enhancements or third-party apps that would deliver functionality to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with IT leadership to evaluate, select and evolve new technologies and technical components that will enhance our mission.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience with lightning custom object development, lightning flow builder, salesforce reports and dashboards.
• Experience with salesforce lightning, mobile architecture and salesforce platform
• Experience with Visualforce, Apex, application integration architecture and writing test classes
• Experience with JSON
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and a problem solver
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple requests and follow through with strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated person with the ability to take initiative and having a passion for problem-solving and continuous learning
• Proven ability to learn and use new technology tools
• Experience with API integrations is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree
• One or more of the following certifications or equivalent:
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator
