- This position will design and implement processes and procedures to ensure the consistent quality of client and vendor data elements within system(s) and master spreadsheets by defining, implementing, leading, and adhering to data governance principles. Works collaboratively with Client Services, Accounting and Vendor Relations departments to set up and maintain business rules and SOPs to help establish and maintain workflow, process/procedures, and routine audits. Works closely with business SMEs and IT development team to gather system and process change requirements, support project management standards, create and lead test cases, and assist with status reporting and communications. The role is key to promoting strong data governance, software quality standards, implement Quality Assurance processes and constantly improve on those by defining activities, setting priorities, and ensuring quality delivery. ROLE DESCRIPTION BA/PM duties • Work collaboratively with Client Services, Accounting and Vendor Relations to create/maintain business rules and SOPs • Document business processes, workflow, and user procedures • Manage change within lines of business to implement new methods of tracking and storing client and vendor information across multiple enterprise applications • Work closely with Development team through design, development, and test efforts to ensure quality assurance through all phases • Develop test strategy, test cases, test plans, and lead business testers through completion • Capture business workflows and create process diagrams • Create and maintain training documents, as well as providing basic training Technical Support • Provide daily technical support to Microsoft Office, Smartsheet issues, Phaseware, Process Unity, and SQL Data Warehouse • Ensure data updates are completed timely, accurately and follows the client/vendor business rules and SOPs • Run simple SQL queries and troubleshoot as error/issues are reported • Provide periodic training on business standards, processes, best practices, and upgrade benefits to applications • Conduct investigation and research into system errors and discrepancies • Deep working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Smartsheets Data governance • Work closely with Data Governance committee to review processes, new data requirements, improvements to business processes, and evaluate new implementations • Manage data integrity, efficiency and availability and provide measures that analyze data consistency and quality • Accountable for data quality metrics associated with governance and quality assurance to ensure adherence to policies and report findings • Embed a strong data management culture within the organization by advocating the Data Governance strategy and proactively challenging colleagues on standards • Review, summarize, and report critical areas of contracts and agreements • Provide input on overall data quality, procedures, and systems with an eye towards consistent improvements • Consistent and prompt attendance • Other duties and projects as assigned and required of the business
