Position SummaryDevice Integration Specialist is responsible for medical equipment initial network setup, cyber security configuration changes, DICOM changes/testing, patch management in relation to all medical equipment. This position also supports medical equipment vendor installed network infrastructure and supporting IT server patch management. Liaison between ITS, Clinical Engineering and the vendor when troubleshooting system integration failures. Additional task may include maintaining patient monitors, ventilators, ultrasound equipment, x-ray machines and other patient care equipment throughout the Southern Illinois Hospital System. Due to the nature of work in supporting critical lifesaving equipment, technicians are required to fulfill on-call shifts through a rotational schedule, as necessary.
EducationAAS degree in Biomedical Technology, equivalent military training, or AAMI apprenticeship certificate of completion.AAS Computer Support & Networking, equivalent military training, AAMI apprenticeship certificate of completion.Relevant work experience will determine pay grade.
Licenses and CertificationCBET, CRES, CCNA, CCNP preferred.
