Program Director
Developmental Concepts, Inc., is a privately-owned Disability Agency providing years of outstanding service to all of our participants and their families. We are looking to add an experienced professional to our team. The ideal candidate has previous experience working at a Developmental Disabilities Agency and is familiar with Residential Habilitation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, supervise, and implement the services provided by Developmental Concepts, Inc.
- Oversee intake process including applications and gathering documents to determine eligibility.
- Attend intake/follow-up meetings with new participants.
- Know and understand all rules and regulations pertaining to the delivery of services and ensure that they are met, and that all programs comply with regulations.
- May interview and hire staff.
- Supervise, manage, and train program staff, including professionals and paraprofessionals.
- Ensure that staff meets qualifications and training requirements.
- QA and review program's record keeping, i.e., perm files, DS documentation, ISP sheets, etc.
- Maintain quarterly communication with participants, care providers and/or representatives/guardians.
- Maintain, review, and follow-up on all provider and participant surveys.
- Ensure that participants receive services as specified in their treatment plans that only approved services are billed for.
- Ensure that all participants' rights are upheld.
- Implement the employee discipline policy.
- Complete professional employee evaluations per company policy.
- Participate in staff and participants' meetings as needed.
- Oversee professional caseload.
- Provide instruction and support for professional staff through the following: Professional staff meetings, QA evaluations of professional staff on a regular basis, participation in grievance and disciplinary procedures as needed, specific training when needed, review QAs completed and monitor follow-up when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a human services field (psychology, sociology, special education, sociology, social work, etc.)
- At least 3 years of supervised experience with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
- At least 3 years of management experience.
- Strong leadership and management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
