CHD is seeking an experienced, passionate, and innovative homelessness services professional to serve as Program Director.
The Program Director provides administrative leadership, direction, and oversight to a large regional program serving hundreds of individuals and families referred primarily by the Executive Office of Housing & Livable Communities (HLC) and the Department of Public Health’s Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS). The Director also oversees outreach and multiple support services throughout the program.
The Director is responsible for hiring, supervision and training of staff, budget development and monitoring, contract compliance, program performance and outcomes, and developing and supporting relationships with regional and state funding sources and partner agencies. The Program Director directly supervises the DSH Deputy Director, the Business Manager, and two Unit Directors, and manages a budget of approximately $34 million.
Qualifications include a Master’s Degree and five years supervisory experience in housing or homelessness services (preferred); demonstrated experience in managing complex budgets, personnel issues, and multiple properties of varying size, occupancy, and complexity. Must have demonstrable experience in compliance and quality improvement and excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and commitment and enthusiasm for the mission and values of the agency.
