Program Director:
RMS of Ohio, a leading provider of services for adults with developmental disabilities since 1983, is seeking outstanding applicants to join our growing organization. Currently, we are seeking a Program Director for our Northwest region location in the Toledo area.
The RMS of Ohio Program Director position has two main components: Adult Day Support Management responsibilities and Supported Living Program Management responsibilities.
Adult Day Support (ADS) Management Responsibilities:
The adult day management responsibilities include the daily operation of all day service programming. Supports the growth of new business opportunities. Develops day services program content and designs implementation strategies though the establishment of a daily activity schedule, planned community outings, events, etc.
Provides management and supervision of all staff assigned to adult day services. Monitors the key supporting elements of service delivery, such as scheduling, staff hiring and orientation, vehicle maintenance, facility repairs, etc. to ensure that operations are managed and executed in an efficient and effective manner.
Develops marketing strategies and activities in collaboration with the Director of Operations, COO and Marketing Director. Responsible for conducting new client interviews and staffing facility tours. Works collaboratively with the Director of Operations to establish a program budget.
Ensures budgeted revenue and expense expectations are met. Works in conjunction with the Director of Operations and the RMS Management (home office) to resolve billing issues. Ensures that billing is both timely and accurate by routinely reviewing service and payroll documentation.
Ensures the timely reporting of all Unusual Incidents (UI) and Major Unusual Incidents (MUI) internally and to the local county board of developmental disabilities. Provides direct services as needed.
Program Management Responsibilities:
The program management responsibilities include assistance in managing supported living services, specifically the delivery of services and ensuring that the environments in which those services are delivered meet health and safety standards. Provides management and supervision of Lead DSPs (Support Associates) and DSPs (Support Associates).
Monitors the key supporting elements of service delivery, such as scheduling, staff training and support, and service location monitoring. Provides good stewardship by managing resources effectively, such as limiting the use of overtime, manages staff absences effectively, etc.
Maintains quality staff through site monitoring, including site visits, staff training, and staff performance evaluations.
Conducts routine meetings with Lead DSPs (Support Associates) to understand and address any issues occurring on the caseload. Provides after hour on-call support for staffing or client emergencies.
Position Requirements: Associate or bachelor’s degree in a human service field preferred, and two (2) years of management/supervisory experience in the provision of services to individuals with developmental disabilities or related social service field preferred.
Share the company's values and philosophy in regard to supporting individuals with disabilities. Positive leader characteristics with ability to select, hire, train, manage and retain staff. Experience with managing and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Understanding of rules and guidelines that regulate the provision of services to individuals with disabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook. Current valid driver’s license and compliance with Ohio liability insurance coverage standards.
The Program Director opening is a salaried full-time position, with an expected 40 hour work week ($30.00 per hour).
