    JOB TITLE:                 Recreation Batting Cage Attendant

    CLASSIFICATION:    Non-Exempt – Part-Time

    DEPARTMENT:        CRE/Recreation

    SUPERVISOR:          Recreation Supervisor and Recreation Specialist

    SALARY:                    $14.00 Per Hour

     

    GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION                                                                                                  

     

    Assists the Recreation Supervisor and Recreation Specialist(s) with the operation and maintenance of Recreation Division batting cage facilities.
     

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES                                                                              

     

    • Assists in overall facility supervision and protection of program.
    • Carries out work schedules.
    • Handles monies collected for rentals.
    • Addresses sensitive situations, complaints, and compliments from patrons and relays information to supervisor.
    • Opening and closing duties of the various facilities.
    • Facility walk-around to ensure safety and cleanliness, and to observe patrons.
    • Cleaning of facility and/or grounds.

    SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES                                                                                                               

     

    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

    • Customer service skills

    QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB                                                                               

     

    Required:

    High school student, age sixteen (16) at time of applying.

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS                                                                                         

     

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading, and writing. The employee is also required to maintain physical condition necessary for operating assigned equipment, walking, standing, kneeling, repeated bending or sitting for prolonged periods of time and lifting to 30 pounds. Maintain mental capacity which allows the capability of making sound decisions demonstrating intellectual capabilities.

     

    Working Environment:

    Both indoor and outdoor environment; irregular working hours, including weekends.
