    Job Summary

    We are looking for an Animal Care Tech I (Cage Processing) to join our Insourcing Solutions team located in South San Francisco, CA.

In the ACTI (Cage Processing) role you can do that by providing quality assurance to the cagewash area to help ensure the health and well-being of all the animals, as well at the integrity of the research.

    What you will do!
    In this role you will provide cleaning and maintenance of laboratory animal caging, equipment, and cage preparation areas as well as cleaning of animal support areas. In addition, monitor and record results of cagewash water temperature and cleaning results using provided supplies such as temperature dots/strips, cultures. As well as ensure that all logbooks, checklists, and other records are completed in a timely fashion. You will report any mechanical failures promptly and properly to the supervisor; and perform microbiological sampling in accordance with SOPs. Perform all other duties as they pertain to the processing of cages.

    Who are we looking for?
    A candidate that possesses a High School diploma, General Education Degree (G.E.D.) or equivalent required. Ability to read, write, understand, and follow directions. Ability to recognize and communicate verbally and/or in writing, problems requiring the attention of high-level personnel in a timely and appropriate manner. Rodent husbandry experience preferred. ALAT certification preferred.

    The pay range for this position is $21.04-24.38 per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
