Motivates team members to produce products that meet or exceeds customer expectations by: Using sound statistical methods. Ensuring team members have appropriate training and coaching in statistical methods. Communicating with Process Control/Engineering Department on customer specifications and needs. Motivates team members to perform at or above expected levels of productivity by: Coordinating team activities that support plant and company goals. Staffing equipment as appropriate for the work level. Facilitating problem solving efforts of the team. Works with Maintenance and Process Engineering Departments to establish operational “Best Practices”. Contacts appropriate resources to communicate issues and receive direction for persistent problems. Takes actions to control emergency situations and ensures appropriate management personnel are notified

Equipment:
Must be familiar with the operation of plastic processing equipment to include: extruders, blenders, winders etc. The employee is also required to drive a forklift. Must also be familiar with office equipment to include computers copiers and fax machine.

While performing the duties of the job the employee regularly works near moving machinery. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with frequent excursions into high noise areas.
Internal and External Contacts:
This position regularly interacts with all levels of hourly personnel, support staff and management. He/she may periodically interact with corporate personnel from Customer Service, Corporate Engineering, and Management. This position will also periodically interact with Customer Representatives on site or at the customer’s location.
