Summary
Tests, calibrates, and repairs electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards.
Assists in formulating calibration standards.
Helps the Quality Inspection Team during down times.

Education, Training and/or Experience
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
Mathematical Skills
Must demonstrate a proficiency in trigonometry, geometry, and machining mathematics. Ability to perform these operations using units of length, weight, volume, and distance in both English and metric units.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form. Ability to solve problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands or fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific visual abilities required for this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and an ability to monitor product visually.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, minimal exposure to extreme heat and vibrating machinery. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
