Camera Operator, Television and Motion Picture operates videotape machines, disk-based file servers, camera control units, studio cameras, video switchers, audio mixers and other equipment used in the broadcast of live and taped television programming. May be expected to maintain a variety of program/transmitter logs. Being a Camera Operator, Television and Motion Picture may require an associate's degree or its equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Camera Operator, Television and Motion Picture relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Wilkes University invites qualified individuals to apply for the role of part-time Mobile Educator in the Science in Motion (SIM) Program. SIM is a STEM outreach program funded by the PA Department of Education and is part of the Pennsylvania Science in Motion Consortium centered at Juniata College. Through a resource sharing model between Wilkes and participating secondary schools in northeastern Pennsylvania, SIM provides middle and high school students and educators with access to advanced hands-on laboratories that incorporate technology, instrumentation, and supplies all at no cost to the educator or their school district.
The part-time Mobile Educator will work a maximum of 25 hours per week from January 8, 2024 through June 14, 2024, generally between the hours of 8am and 4pm. This position reports directly to the SIM Mobile Education Coordinator. Previous STEM teaching experience is a plus, but is not required. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
