Camera Operator, Television and Motion Picture operates videotape machines, disk-based file servers, camera control units, studio cameras, video switchers, audio mixers and other equipment used in the broadcast of live and taped television programming. May be expected to maintain a variety of program/transmitter logs. Being a Camera Operator, Television and Motion Picture may require an associate's degree or its equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Camera Operator, Television and Motion Picture relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Position Title: Traffic Assistant - Television
About us: Family-owned and operated, NonStop Local KHQ is a Washington-based media company committed to breakthrough innovation and the success of our employees.
Status: Full-time (40 hours per week), non-exempt
Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of TV station traffic or similar industry experience.
Salary Range: $16.50 to $17.50
About this role: NonStop Local has multiple TV stations across Washington and Montana that need to have commercials and other forms of messaging placed on their air each day.
The role you will play is a crucial one in making sure NonStop Local is success with the placement and problem solving of our commercial inventory placement for each broadcast.
Qualifications & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for multi station inventory management, commercial continuity, log generation and verification.
- Responsible for scheduling and managing inventory including working with AE’s on oversell issues.
- Able to edit Logs making sure all commercials are scheduled for that day and finalize for on-air.
- Be able to work with other departments when issues arise (accounting, master control, sales, etc.)
- Position requires strong computer skills and being adept at working quickly and accurately. Close attention to detail and ability to manage time in order to meet daily deadlines is paramount. Good communication, reliability and attendance are required.
