Camera Operator, Television and Motion Picture operates videotape machines, disk-based file servers, camera control units, studio cameras, video switchers, audio mixers and other equipment used in the broadcast of live and taped television programming. May be expected to maintain a variety of program/transmitter logs. Being a Camera Operator, Television and Motion Picture may require an associate's degree or its equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Camera Operator, Television and Motion Picture relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.     As an Operator, you’ll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services uninterrupted. Based in Quincy, WA, you’ll perform a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of a water treatment plant.

    You’ll operate, repair, and maintain the water treat ment plant's facili ties; perform routine laboratory tests; understand and carry out oral and written directions;

    establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :

    Performs any combinations of following tasks pertinent to controlling operation of plant :

    Operates treatment facilities to control flow and processing of water / wastewater, sludge, and effluent

    Monitors gauges, meters, and control panels

    Observes variations in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge readings

    Operates valves and gates either manually or by remote control

    Starts and stops pump, engines, and generators to control and adjust flow and treatment processes

    Maintains shift log and records meter and gauge readings

    Takes samples and performs routine laboratory tests and analyses

    Performs routine maintenance functions and custodial duties

    Makes operating decisions in absence of supervisory personnel

    Does related work as required

    Here's What You'll Need :

    • Experience operating a wastewater treatment facility
    • Experience with sound safety principles and practices
    • Experience with computer operations with the ability to prepare spreadsheets and word processing documents, and enter information into maintenance management system
    • Possess a valid driver’s license

    Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools employed in the general operation of engines, pumps, valves, motors, and related equipment;

    general maintenance work; safe work practices; principles and methods of biological and chemical sewage analyses, effects and problems of industrial waste in water / wastewater treatment processes, principles of supervision

    Knowledge of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, data management systems and be able to operate plant PLC’s and SCADA systems

    Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals.

    The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
