Campus Police Supervisor jobs in Lincoln, NE

OBJECTIVE

To keep pace with the needs of a large and thriving church, the Campus Supervisor must translate team values into leadership.  They will both oversee and work alongside the teams responsible for event setup and task completion.  In this role, they get to support thousands of events, remove distractions from a 230,000 sq. ft facility, and maintain the grounds on a 47-acre campus.

In addition to this, we need a leader who can adjust to the ever-changing landscape of COVID and adapt to the needs of an evolving ministry.

The work breakdown is as follows:

• 30% - Work alongside the team, helping them achieve their lists while also completing your own. 
•   25% - Coach and encourage the team as you evaluate the work done during your shifts. 
•   20% - Attend and participate in trainings, 1 on 1 development, and shift tactical meetings. 
•   10% - Use our event scheduling and task software to create the shift's workload. 
•   10% - Lead the team in prayer and devotionals (materials provided). 
•   05% - Adjust your schedule to help cover when other supervisors go on vacation/sick or to help support mission-critical LBC events and initiatives.

SHIFTS

Both morning (7:30am-3:30pm) and night (2:00pm-10:00pm) shifts are available. One weekend shift is required.

BASICS REQUIRMENTS

• A growing relationship with Jesus Christ as outlined in both 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1
• A humble and teachable spirit born from personal security in Christ and an understanding of his/her God-given ability
• A life dependent on the Holy Spirit and faith, demonstrated by an active prayer life
• A love for people and Lincoln Berean Church
• Regularly attends weekend services
• Supports the core beliefs of LBC
• Trustworthy, honest, and considers confidentiality a priority

DETAILS

• Serve those using our facility with Christ-like humility by developing real relationships with our staff and community. 
• Lead teams of 2-5 people per shift, ensuring the correct completion of every setup, task, and request (even those happening outside your shift).
• Educate and inspire the team through promoting God's word, staff values, and action.
• Celebrate and coach the team with wisdom, timeliness, and confidence so that they will thrive at and outside of work.
• Troubleshoot the needs of those using our facility, by both solving problems in the moment as well as helping the team develop new processes for the future.
• Protect the people and property of Lincoln Berean Church through daily lockup as well as facilitating severe weather and fire protocol.
• Serving all staff and every guest with professionalism, grace, and humility.

SKILLS

• Comfortable using tablets, computers, copiers, etc.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, completing a scheduled workload as well as finding unassigned work
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication
• Able to anticipate needs before they arise

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Can push, pull, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Can walk 6,000 steps each shift
• Already serves at LBC
• Previous experience in grounds, event setup, and/or janitorial work is a plus
