Being a Campus Police Supervisor ensures compliance with state laws, city ordinances, and university regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Campus Police Supervisor requires P. O.S.T. certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Campus Police Supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Campus Police Supervisor typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job Description
The Police Communications Officer in Training, under supervision, receives on-the-job training from Police Communication Officers; handles routine and emergency radio, telephone, and 911 calls for service following special or written instructions for transmitting and routing calls. Pay Rate: Starting hourly rate is $18.10
Important Position Details: Applicants must successfully pass psychological evaluation, drug screen, and complete background investigation to include, but not limited to driving history, criminal background, and credit history. Applicants must pass a timed typing test with a score of 45words per minute. Applicants must also pass a Critical Multitasking Dispatch Test.
