The Director of Recreation will be responsible for the successful operation of all aspects of The Anchor, the Fitness Center, and the Pool, including the recruitment, hiring, scheduling, training, and supervision of Assistant Directors, Associates (FT), and Assistants (PT), and for ensuring the successful execution of all responsible areas during open hours at The Anchor, the Fitness Center, and the Pool. These areas include oversite of all facets of the Command & Control Center, assisting, demonstrating, and promoting to customers using various physical and electronic games and attractions, providing guidance for policies and procedures related to indoor and outdoor amenity use, and collaborating with other Shangri-La team members in executing organized group events.
The position will provide proactive oversight to ensure the prompt and effective repair of games and attractions of The Anchor, the Fitness Center, and the Pool. Capabilities of effective planning, organization, and execution of numerous large and small-scale events, parties, clinics, and camps hosted at The Anchor or other venues throughout the Shangri-La Resort property is critical for success, as is a focus on generating and maintaining a culture of fun, excitement, and energy, designed to maximize enjoyment for all visitors and enhance value for Shangri-La members. The position will also be responsible for maintaining inventory for retail and arcade redemption, light financial analysis, and accurate execution of cash transactions.
