Charlottesville Campus Director
  • The Point
  • Charlottesville, VA FULL_TIME
  • Charlottesville Campus Director

    Church Overview

The Point Church is looking for a self-led, secure leader who gathers and empowers people in their walks with Jesus in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia!  Our mission is to Love God, Love People, and Love Life (Matthew 22:36-40 & 16:25), and we strive to make disciples who do the same. The Point started in 2009, grew exponentially by God’s hand, and we now meet in person at two campuses (soon to be three!) and online. God has given us the vision to have an ongoing presence in 50 communities, 50 cities, and in 50 countries in our first 50 years as a church. It’s a big vision, but any vision that doesn’t include reaching the world for Jesus is too small.

    Role Overview

The Campus Director is pivotal in enacting our strategies and fostering our mission of discipleship. This leader sets an example, steering the team towards serving, nurturing, and empowering individuals to realize their highest kingdom potential. Moreover, they champion individual growth and unparalleled hospitality in every encounter, inspiring the discovery and application of spiritual gifts, talents, and passions. This role is about creating an environment of growth, connection, and excellence.

Campus Directors are the vanguards of Next Level Hospitality, ensuring a seamless experience from the street to the seat for every guest, aligning every aspect of the environment and events with our Three Strategies. Their role is instrumental in transforming newcomers into active participants in The Intentional Life, thus supporting the campus and its team's success.

    Responsibilities

    • Spearhead the "street-to-seat" guest experience ministry.
    • Develop and manage systems for fostering engagement within The Point Church.
    • Oversee event planning and execution.
    • Administer campus operations.
    • Implement our 3 Strategies—Gift-Oriented Ministry, The Known Strategy, and Next Level Hospitality—in all facets of campus operations.
    • Empower individuals to discover and use their spiritual gifts, talents, and passions.
    • Prioritize meaningful individual growth and substance over mere numerical growth, acknowledging the importance of both.
    • Deliver exceptional hospitality, ensuring every interaction embodies our commitment to serving others.
    • Collaborate with other campus leaders to maintain alignment with our mission and sub-strategies, ensuring a unified ministry approach.
    •  Assist the Campus Pastor in leading and pastoring the campus effectively.

    Qualifications

    • Deep commitment to fulfilling Christ's mission, empowering others to overcome challenges with gospel-centered solutions.
    • Demonstrated success in leading volunteer-driven programs or community outreach efforts.
    • Exceptional organizational skills, adept at multitasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines. Strong execution and planning capabilities are essential.
    • Proven leadership experience, capable of mobilizing and nurturing volunteers. Outstanding interpersonal skills to inspire collective action.
    • Adaptive and creative problem-solving abilities, thriving in dynamic settings with innovative solutions.
    • Experience in hospitality and event management would be an asset.
    • Spiritual maturity consistent with The Point's beliefs, exhibiting a life devoted to spiritual growth and Christian ethics.

    Working Conditions

This full-time role demands flexibility, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate volunteer schedules and events. Based at The Point’s Charlottesville (Broadcast) campus, occasional local travel for community engagement activities is required.

    We Offer

    • Comprehensive health and dental insurance.
    • Technology stipend.
    • Retirement plan with employer matching up to 6%.
    • Competitive salary reflective of experience.

    Application Invitation

We invite individuals who share The Point's vision and possess the passion and capability to make a significant impact through ministry. Embrace this transformative journey with us.
