Position: Recreation Director

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Recreation Director to join our team. The Recreation Director will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing recreational programs and activities for our residents. This includes developing engaging activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being, as well as coordinating special events and outings.

Recreation Director Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive recreation program that meets the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
• Plan and organize a variety of activities, including games, arts and crafts, music and dance, exercise classes, and outings.
• Collaborate with staff, residents, and family members to identify and prioritize recreational preferences and interests.
• Coordinate special events and celebrations, such as holiday parties, birthday celebrations, and themed events.
• Maintain accurate records of program attendance, resident participation, and feedback.
• Ensure that all recreational programs comply with regulatory standards and guidelines.

Recreation Director Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) preferred.
• Experience in recreational programming, preferably in a long-term care or senior living setting.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in senior care.
